Want to know why I love my job?
How cool is that that not only have I found a company whose products belong in every home and can change the world , but I can also run my business my way! And my way is to work joyfully.
Of course it’s more fun to work joyfully, but it’s not just fun, it works better! Think of what your face looks like when you’re worried. Did you know that same scrunching happens inside your brain? Now think of your face when you’re joyful and excited. That’s happening inside your brain too! We have way more access to creative ideas and finding the best solution when we work joyfully!
So how do I lead my team of world changers?
I will never push you to get out of your comfort zone. We will expand your comfort zone.
I will never tell you to do something you don’t want to do. We will connect with your internal motivation and find a different way to get to where you want to go that does feel good.
I will never hold you accountable. (You don’t need it.) We’ll get clarity on your goals and dreams and help you keep your focus there.
Sound like a team you want to be on? Here’s where you sign up!

While scrolling through Twitter this morning, I happened on a podcast from This Little Parent Stayed Home. Ally was interviewing Rob and Janelle of Mission Date Night.
Both resources are worth sharing!

Note: I am not affiliated in any way with either of these organizations, just thought they were helpful and want to share!
Lots of people have lots of ideas about goals, but here’s how simple it has become for me, and how I coach my team:
- What do you want?
- State it in a way that gives you a little thrill of excitement!
Do you have to be specific and measurable and give yourself a time deadline?
ONLY if it feels good to you!
For some people, setting a specific time goal gives a rush of energy. Do it!
For some people, setting a specific time goal feels panicky. Don’t do it.
Here’s an example:
Let’s say that you want to be an Executive Sales Leader. Here are some different ideas of ways to state your goal. You pick the one that FEELS best to you.
- I want to be an Executive Sales Leader by November.
- I am an Executive Sales Leader.
- It was so fun to celebrate Christmas as an Executive Sales Leader!
- I am in the process of becoming an Executive Sales Leader.
- I don’t even really know how it happened, but now I’m an Executive Sales Leader!
- My team grew like crazy and now we are an Executive team!
The “right” way to state your goal is different for everyone. Which one makes you smile?
Look in the mirror and say them? Which one makes your eyes sparkle?

This morning as the dogs and I walked with the kids to school, I was struck by the beauty around me.
I love my life! And I love my work from home job! Do you work from home?
I’ll be honest with you here. I never thought anyone could make more than a little play money working any business with home parties.
I was wrong! Hooray!!!
I started doing Norwex parties just because the Enviro cloth knocked my socks with what it could do on the greasy walls around my stove. I decided everyone needed to know about this magical new way to clean!
I had been searching for alternatives to cleaning chemicals based on my research into suspected causes of auto-immune diseases like lupus, celiac disease, type 1 diabetes, and asthma. (We have a little bit of everything in our family and I wanted to know how to give my kids the best shot possible at avoiding them!) But the natural cleaners I had tried were a lot more work. And like any busy mom, I’d rather things be quick! So when I scrubbed every nook and cranny of my kitchen that night (WAY out of character for me) because it was so unbelievably easy, I knew I had to share.
Because of the growing awareness of the dangers of chemicals, and because I discovered I love mentoring others to succeed beyond their wildest dreams, after three years in business I had passed up my pre-mom full-time income as an E-Learning Consultant.

Yes, working at home has a downside. Work is always there. Like, for example, it’s 11:45 pm on a Tuesday evening and I’m in my office at my computer. But I’m in charge! No one is making me work. I’m having fun! I’m setting goals and hitting them out of the park!
And look who my work companions are:
Meet our two rescue babies. Zelda loves to sit under my desk. (She doesn’t seem to mind that I stretch without remembering she’s there and bump her occasionally.) And Sarah is tucked in right next to my chair. Our vet’s best guess is that these two were breeders in a puppy mill before they were rescued, so they needed lots of extra time and attention when we first got them. And because I work from home, I was able to give that to them!
Here they are the day we brought them home from the shelter:
